The Pastoral Intern (“PI”) is selected for one year of service with the opportunity to serve full-time at the end of the term. The PI will work with the Senior Pastor, Elders, and Deacons. This is a developmental opportunity for someone exploring or pursuing full-time vocational ministry. The PI will be immersed in the rhythms of church life while receiving mentoring and practical ministry experience. The PI may serve through involvement in cross-cultural missions. The PI will report directly to the Senior Pastor.

What you’ll bring:

1. Calling to serve in cross-cultural church ministry and passion for young adult and children ministry.
2. Currently enrolled in or holds a Master of Divinity degree or its equivalent from an accredited theological institution.
3. Experience preaching and serving in the children ministry.
4. Amen with the Doctrine and Bylaws of Evangelical Formosa Church: EFC Bylaws
5. Completion of course in Biblical Interpretation

What you’ll do:

1. Connect with church members, fostering a sense of community and care within the congregation.
2. Preach on Sundays and coordinating guest speakers when needed.
3. Offer Biblical counsel and guidance to individuals and couples, helping them navigate life’s challenges in a Godly way.
4. Embrace and promote the vision of the Church, working collaboratively and under the Senior Pastor to fulfill the mission and values of the Church.
5. Perform any other ministry tasks and assignments delegated by the Senior Pastor.

Weekly hours (10 hr):
a. 5 hr in-person on Sundays (9am-2pm)
b. 2 hr in-person on a Weekday for pastoral meeting and other tasks as needed
c. 3 hr remote for prepping sermons and any assigned tasks.
Compensation: $28/hr
