Minister of Music Education

The Minister of Music Education, under the direction of the Senior Pastor and the Minister of Worship and Music, assists the music ministry and provides leadership in the development, supervision, and direction of the children and youth music education programs of the Mandarin Baptist Church of Los Angeles (MBCLA).
In collaboration with the Senior Pastor and pastors of various language congregations, the Minister of Music Education also helps coordinate musical training and worship components across multiple ministries, under the supervision of the Minister of Music and Worship.
Some specific responsibilities include but is not limited to:
- Establish and oversee a comprehensive music education program for children and youth, from preschool through high school.
- Design a curriculum that integrates musical training, worship understanding, and spiritual growth.
- Provide opportunities for children and youth to participate in various musical ensembles.
- Recruit, train and supervise volunteers for children's choir and related programs.

- Seminary degree in Music and Education Ministry or related field
- Experience working with young children and youth (Pre-K - 12th grade)
- Fluency in English with proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese a plus
- Demonstrates the ability to work in team environment and interact with all people in a friendly, courteous and professional manner
- Supports and faithfully implements the mission and vision of Mandarin Baptist Church of Los Angeles
