an Francisco Baptist Church has been serving the residents of San Francisco since 1978. We worship God and believe that the Bible is the Word of God. In view of this, we have Sunday School classes suitable for different ages to learn the Bible and know God more deeply. Our Sunday School for all levels is held every Sunday at 9:45 am. Then we have Cantonese and English worship at 11 pm.
We also believe that prayer and fellowship are an indispensable part of Christian life. Our online prayer meeting is held every Wednesday at 8 pm. There are also fellowships of different ages for everyone to share the joys and sorrows of life with each other and do their best to build the body of Christ.

Children's Ministry Director

San Francisco Chinese Baptist Church (SFCBC) is seeking a full-time passionate and dedicated Children’s Ministry Director to join our ministry team. This position focuses on nurturing and discipling children from nursery through 5th grade, helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. The Director will oversee the vision, planning, and execution of all children’s ministry programs, providing spiritual guidance, support, and care to children, their families, and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, plan, and lead dynamic children’s ministry programs and activities.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteers to serve effectively.
• Create and implement an age-appropriate, Bible-based curriculum.
• Organize and lead special events (e.g., VBS, holiday celebrations, family outreach).
• Provide counseling, and spiritual guidance to children and their families.
• Manage and steward the ministry budget responsibly.
• Collaborate with church leadership to align children’s ministry with the broader vision and mission of SFCBC.

Qualifications and Desired Skills:
1. A strong personal faith and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, grounded in solid Christian theology.
2. A heart for leading children and families to know and follow Christ.
3. Proven ability to multitask, manage time effectively, prioritize responsibilities, and lead teams.
4. Strong organizational, administrative, and team-building skills.
5. Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in children’s or youth ministry (volunteer or paid).
6. Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, biblical studies, or Christian ministries (seminary degree preferred).
7. Ability to:
o Relate well across diverse ethnic, cultural, and generational backgrounds.
o Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with discretion.
o Listen humbly and engage with families to foster a holistic ministry approach.
Additional Requirements:
• Full alignment with the vision, mission, and statement of faith of San Francisco Chinese Baptist Church.
• Speaking and writing of Cantonese or Mandarin ability is preferred but not required.
• Must pass background checking and finger-printing.
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Salary: Commensurate with experience
