Director of Advancement Department

職務說明Job Description:

The Director of Advancement at Logos Evangelical Seminary is the Head of the Advancement Department and is responsible for fundraising, public relations, marketing & communication, and student recruitment. This role is a member of the President Council and reports to the President of the Seminary. It provides leadership and supervises the Advancement department to accomplish the growth of the seminary.

Student Recruitment

• Leads the Logos’ strategic planning efforts with respect to advancement. Develops and implements student recruitment programs and initiatives to achieve the annual student recruitment goals.
• Collaborates closely with the Director of Administration and Academic Dean on public relations and communication efforts related to student recruitment events.

Fundraising:

• Provide strategic leadership and executive-level support to the President in fulfilling the Logos’ fundraising and cultivation goals and objectives.
• Identifies, cultivates, solicits, and sustains donors, including individuals, churches, parachurch organizations, institutions, foundations, alumni, etc.
• Manages a portfolio of donors and prospective donors in relation to special projects or initiatives, including campus expansion program.

Public Relations, Marketing & Communication:

• Develops goals, establishes strategies, and carries out plans effectively to generate and maintain favorable perceptions by existing donors and prospective donors toward the seminary.
• Develops short and long marketing & communications plans and programs.
• Oversees the seminary’s communication programs, including theological education promotion via modern media channels, i.e., website, newsletters, video, photography, social media platform, etc.
• Manages the seminary’s brand identity, editorial style, and graphic standards.

Qualifications:

• Three years or more of progressively responsible experience in advancement.
• Proven track record of leading, planning, and executing a cross-department for advancement and fundraising campaigns.
• Excellence in building and growing Advancement Team and Christian leadership.
• Data-driven, strategic thinker with an ability to articulate the LES values and vision internally and externally.
• Thorough understanding of current trends in advancement and fundraising, particularly issues facing non-profits and theological schools.
• Proven management skills to balance priorities and a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated computer competency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and preferably have knowledge of CRM or other comparable fundraising systems.
• MBA, M. Div., or similar degree or experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills both in English and Chinese.
• Exhibit behavior that supports the seminary’s mission, vision, and core values.
