Biography:

Pastor Benson Wang was born in Tainan, Taiwan. He graduated from National Chien-Kung University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1986. He went to the United States for further study in 1989 and obtained a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from UCLA in 1995. In 2000, he earned a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree from Logos Evangelical Seminary. That same year, he began serving as the Mandarin Pastor at Evangelical Formosan Church of Los Angeles (EFCLA), later becoming the Senior Pastor from 2012 until 2025, leading a vibrant, multi-lingual, and multi-ethnic church that actively advances the kingdom of God on earth. Pastor Wang received another Ph.D. in History of Christianity from Claremont Graduate University in 2016. Since 2004, he has served as an adjunct lecturer at seminaries, such as Logos Evangelical Seminary and Servant of Christ Theological Seminary.
